well guys i had this idea in the back of my head since the April issue of 5.0 Mustang and Fast Fords, where they had cobra engines in foxes, well i was going to try and find a project car to keep my car somewhat orignal but id rather make it unique, i will be going to college for high performance engines so i will have acess to all the normal equipment of a machine shop and everything, so now i have decided to put a modular 4.6 engine out of a cobra or maybe a GT and i was wondering if there is any help somewhere on the internet about this kind of swap, also do you guys think this is something you guys would do if you had the resources

foxes are commonly known as 5.0's where im from

here most people don't even know they are designed on the fox body so they just call them 5.0's

i dont know it's your car so you can do what you want with it and i dont have a problem with that. just sharing my opinion

If you can pull it off, more power to you. If your going 4.6 get a DOHC with the blower, basicly what im saying get a cobra motor and it will be bad ***.

mps sells them for like 11000 grand for everything engine harness 6spd etc

i read that issue, one of them bought an 04 cobra wrekced for 8 grand and the motor and stuff wasnt bad. so i wouldnt buy a crate for 11k. i think it sounds like a cool idea, who cares if foxs are known as 5.0s

you could make the 5.0 very fast with 5 grand

with 11 grand i think i'd go nuts

You could get more hp with mods out of the 5.0 then with the 4.6 any day
