GT-S is a dodge trim label. Not Ford. Never heard/saw a GT-S mustang.


Edit: Okay I stand corrected. 1995 there was a special edition GTS. Came with the 5.0 HO engine.

edit: nm, beat me to it.....so basically the gts was a 6cyl with all the crappy options and no spoiler???? I guess the s stands for "special[sm=nerd.gif]"

So u say they didn't make it. So y do i have a 1996 mustang gtr in the barn and the vin dose not come up as a stander mustang vin number.

It might have been a 248a code mustang... but its NOT a GTR

87-92 "Cobra" is actually a Canadian GT. For some reason they put GT/Cobra on their registrations....
