I installed mine. Did you connect the correct speaker wires to eachother. I had no sound either, until i messed around with the speaker wires, then i got some sound.

if your not getting sound then you have the wires hooked up wrong to the speakers

I hooked up a jvc and it came with a wiring harness, everything hooked up fine and no problems. I was able to swap it out for a pioneer and still no problems.

Well if ur car came w/ fords premium sound system then u have an amp up in the middle of the dash, ur system is wired in common ground also, u need the correct wiring harness for the deck and usually another one thats used to bypass the amp. I would just bypass the amp and connect the speakers directly to the deck w/o a harness.

I know exactly what your problem is. I had the same problem with my 93 before I sold it. What you need to do is bypass the factory amplifier. I believe that it is behind the radio area. This is the adapter that you need. If you select your car on their, they will include a paper that tells you everything you need to know including taking the factory amp out, and how to bypass it. On that webpage, there are actually 3 adapters included. What you are really after is the middle adapter in the picture. If by chance when you bought the wiring harnessr that you already wired into your car and you have that third adapter unused there is no reason to buy another one. If you do, I can find the install papers I think I have a copy of them from when I bought it from them. I hope I'm not confusing you, but trust me, I know what I'm talking about. Be sure to post any questions you've got, I'm here to help.
