Default intake heads and cam

Im thinking abount getting a cobra intake, gt-40x heads, and a lunati voodoo cam, but on the cam i dont know what the duration and the lift means. How does that affect the heads and intake?

Post up the #'s for the lift and duration @ .050.

If you're going to spend the money on heads, do not get the X's. The only real advantage to them over GT40 P (iron) heads is that they are aluminum. The P heads flow almost the same #'s.

Instead, get the Trickflow TW's or AFR 165's. You will be MUCH happier w/ them.

Get the Trick Flow Twisted Wedge or AFR 165's or 185's depending on your future mods.

You won't regret it.

Valve size differences.....Larger valves limit your clearance, especially on a stock or similar bottom end. You have to choose the heads based on your clearances w/ your cam/rocker combo unless you have the funds to switch it all out.

i have the edelbrock vic jrs. theyre alot of head for a slightly modded motor. a cobra intake will never feed them. you would need a rpm II intake and prolly a 70mm tb and 76mm maf. to feed them the air they need.
