Default No side moldings?

I was reading the thread on side moldings (https://mustangforums.com/m_1238093/tm.htm) and noticed a comment by "Oshawa 5.0" that he's completely removing them.

Has anyone done this yet? If so please post pics. I'm getting my LX Hatch repainted and may consider this.

Thanks!!

So is talking about the ground effects and NOT the side moldings? I think he may also be removing the side moldings as well.

ya the problem is that with the side moldings you can ony take em off the doors and the front fenders. They are part of the bumbers. [:@]

Crap i think i should of kepted the skirts all around. I was installing my LX bumper cover and finders I didn't relize that i had to put the molding pice back on the front end. I didn't know they were apart of the bumper.
Id there a way to go without?
Sure didn't know what i was getting myself into. Everthing went very easy but when i relized i need that front 2 plactic molding pices sure killed my night.
I wish i read this message the other night
Any ideas if i can go without?
