true, its hard to find a place that will work on an illegal exhaust. if its catback its not hard at all. should take not even an hour.

So i just ordered some flowmasters offline just a little while ago and im wondering..could i install them myself? i have no experience with installing things but im told they are easy to install, or if anybody knows somebody located around virginia who will give me a really good price tell me please.
You haven't said yet if you're just getting the mufflers or if you're getting the entire catback. If you're just getting the muflers then take it to a shop. The most it will cost is $15, and if you don't have a welding torch and don't know how to weld then it's a no brainer. A catback you could do yourself.

It shouldn't be a problem finding a shop to put on illegal exhaust...I don't even think they can get into trouble for it. I've had it done at shops three times now in two different states and never had any problems. They'll probably let you know that it won't pass inspection, but to them money is money.
