Default Fuel Filter or Pump

Ive been having a problem where I cant accelerate fast in higher rpms (3900 and up) or the engine chokes up. If I accelerate into high rpms slowly its fine. Could this possibly be a dirty fuel filter or bad pump? How dop I clean the filter? blow through it?

What year of car do u have? well if you got Fuel injected U will need a fuel pump pressure tester, Then you can see what youre readings are, the fuel filter is usually near youre engine compartment or near youre gas tank, or under frame, So ppl have em in diff then stock places, Its all about trouble shooting too, I would take a look at youre plugs and wires too, If ya car needs a tune up it will cause ya to not pick up at high RPMs.

79-93 foxes were in the back right in front of the tank.

Yeah you need to find out why its doing that.It sounds like a weak pump to me.But theres only one way to find out.

Run the normal diagnostics on it and let us know.Start with the normal and easiest change the fuel filter and go from there. You may want to do a tune up as well to rule out any worn parts.

Im gonna change plugs and replace the fuel filter today and see what comes of that. If not I can do the pump and see if that does it. No my friend told me blowing through the filter can clear out crap.

I changed the spark plugs and fuel filter at the same time and it fixed.. so it was one of those. The old plugs were from the factory... thats 60k miles and 10 years... Im scared what else has NEVER been maintenenced on this car...

You can also try cleaning the throttle body , and if it is a mass air car take maf sensor off and clean with contact cleaner.
