i would like to see the rest of the mods ur car had to put those numbers down and the sheet proving it. cause thats just insane numbers for exhaust
ORIGINAL: anthonydalrymple

What i do know for a fact ocurred on my car....

I have dyno'd my car with a set of BBK 1 & 5\8" unequal length headers, x-pipe without cats, & Flowbastard catback=320rwhp\307rwtq
Same dyno, same combo, same exhaust, no other changes other than installing a Magnaflow catted x-pipe=296rwhp\294rwtq
Hahahaha.... I have quite a few mod's.... I just wanted to show what one verified change to the exhaust can do to the powerband.

I have AFR165's, RPMII intake, 75mm Pro M, 70mm TB, small custom cam, power pullies, etc. I'm happy with the low 12's.....

No way you're in low 12's with only 320hp, I'd say low 13's but that's about it. Hell, hemi cars only ran low 12's with 525hp. Takes a lot of power to get down there.

What year stang does he have? 320whp is more than enough to get a fox stang in the low 12's, the difference is the hemi cars are heavy and arent set up for drag. It would depend how his car is set up and how hard he launched but I say its definitely doable.

No?
12.13@114mph in Fontana,California at California speedway. That was without the cat's, on slicks, no serpentine belt, 4,10's, & the previously mentioned 320rwhp\309rwtq. Car weighed 3050-3100lbs w\driver. I didn't power shift; I speed shifted.

I broke my car last week(axel snapped) right after running 12.83@106.7mph at Palmdale(DA=4,000ft \ Elevation 2,450). That was with cats, serpentine belt on, & spinning off the line to 1.69 60ft short times. Factored for elevation alone(not for the air quality index) equates to a 12.44@110.

What you might not be taking into account is the facts:
1) light makes might..... Hemi's were not light cars. 1,000lbs less weight= 1 full second faster in the quarter mile.....
2) Slicks, gear, & drag suspension optimize ET's for the quarter mile. No front swaybar, airbags in rear springs, etc suck for handling but get me off the line very well......
3) I can drive. I rip off the line at 6,200rpm, wood it, & shift it so hard that people can hear the 3-4th gear "crunch" standing behind the burnout box.... I beat the living snot out of whatever i drive.
4) Check out the guys on other forums running 12's with stock motors that make me look like a cheater...... "Coupster", whom has the feature mustang 'notch in Car Craft this month, ran 12.98 at Bakersfield this month on a stock motor.....

300rwhp in a light fox is low 12's period....

Just installed a Bassani X-pipe and the throttle response is improved greatly. I love how much weight was removed with the stock system also. Car runs and accelerates 10x better than before. BBK ceramic headers going this weekend. Will see if there is more improvement or not.
