Default Pony wheels without the center caps: can they look good?

I've got ponies on my 5.0 but theyre missing the center caps. I was looking at them the other day and I think they look pretty good this way. I'm not really a big fan of the pony wheels with center caps from what I've seen. I was thinking if I got some nice chrome lugnuts and if I found a way to cover up the bearings(with some nice looking center caps) the wheels would like quite good.

Anyone else tried this or have any comments?

Yes, they can look good. A friend had pony's without caps, painted them Titanium, & put chrome lug nuts.....

yeah ... it could look ok ... but prob. not. i'd suggest that you get the center caps unless you do them right ...

Well if you don't want the Pony caps you know you can get some that are just plain with NO emblem in the middle. Or they have some with the Cobra emblem if you like that better.

Really? That would be perfect. Anyone know where I can get plain center caps?

Go to the junkyard & look for the ugly 5-lug 6cyl wheels used from '95-2000. they have a plain smooth cap with the running horse "etched" into it. Dime a dozen & give the pony's a cleaner look to me IMHO....
