Default 89 5.0 pricing

My 89 LX hatchback got broadsided the other night by a nitwit in an Astro van. I survived, the car didn't. I'm looking for some help on resources to help establish what it was worth so I can fight the nitwit's insurance company. It's a loaded black 5 speed 302, stock except for exhaust and K&N filter, 84K never saw a snowflake northern Ohio car in near perfect condition. Any and all help is appreciated.

blue book only list them around $2,000 [>:]

they sell for about $5,000 for what you gave as discreption.

if it was exceptionally clean interior and such it might
bring a bit more.

good luck getting fair value for it from insurance.
just tell them to replace it with same and that would be fine with you.

What r.barn said.... I went through the same s!#t almost two years ago with my former 'vert. Insurance company wanted me to settle for $900!!!!!!!!
It took a drawn out fight to get a reasonable amount of money out of the deal= 4 months. Since it was my only car; i had to buy something to get me by in the meantime; so it can be a pain.... All i can add is to hold out as long as you can for the right $$.... They will attempt to get you to settle for too little since it is in thier best interest!

Before.....

After......

you ****'n suck man, A holes like you made me grow thru the hassle of
getting sued for minor fender bender cuase some A-hole ( like yourself )
yelled "whiplash", gave me months of fear and anxiety over 30mph fender bender.
Lucky insurance covered all cost, but was NOT a fun experience when no one
was really hurt.

On my car the insurance gave my 88 a $5042.00 NID value. They totalled the car as a loss but I keep it and get the check minus the deductible and salvage fee.....I fixed the car myself ,added steel plate for the door, welded it up staighened it, and whoala its good to go ..No probs other than cosmetic ......
