Default Head Gasket ?????????

Is it true 1969-1983 and 1984-1995 302 engine's head gaskets are different?
i recently went to my local auto parts store to get the last things I needed to finish my project and they sell the 1969-1983 for $23.99 a pair and the 1984+ for $85.99.
Whats the difference if any?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks I just wanted to be sure!
Most auto parts sell same part at diferent prices. When I bought my fuel pump I saved $38.00 just because it was under a Thunderbird 5.0 and not from a 1989 Mustang GT even though it has the same part #.
