Pulley kits, good or bad

Pulley kits, good or bad
I have a 1993 GT, with a 70mm throttle body, bbk headers, 2 1/2" stainless exhaust, and flowmasters, 3:55 rear end k&n filter, sub frame connectors and strut tower brace,I have been thinking of adding a pulley kit to it, I wanted to know how much does it really take away from the water pump, I have read that it is 20%, just curious to see if anyone had any cooling problems after installing a pulley kit? and the other question is the alternator, any charging problems with anyone? thanks
Any other cheap upgrade ideas, BBK cold air Intake?????

RE: Pulley kits, good or bad
I know alot of people that have charging problems with pullies... You have to rev the car to around 2000rpms if you are sitting in traffic sometimes.... I think they are more trouble then they are worth....

RE: Pulley kits, good or bad
i don't have them, but i have heard that a lot of people either buy a higher amp alternator or don't change the alternator pullie (just change crank and water pump pullies)
I think they are worth the $100

RE: Pulley kits, good or bad
I have them, had to upgrade to a 130 amp alternator and I added a 3 core radiator cus I need a new one and it helps. It stayed cool regular driving, but gets a little warm at the strip cus less flow. I could take em or leave em. Not enough noticable power gains for the cost of upgrades, but they aren't necessary to upgrade.
