either a loose rim which i doubt, or prolly need to take them back to have them balanced again.

Yeah. I was concerned that it could have to do with my drive shaft. A mechanic mentioned something about the driveshaft. but I didn't remember any details.

my car has a really bad shake at 65mph but it goes away if i go faster. 80mph the shake returns and i have gone faster and the shake goes away.

when i say shake, i mean just the steering wheel vibrates aggresively.

my tires and rims are beatup. rims were rashed to **** by the previous owner (could this guy even see the curbs?!? jesus havent seen so much curb rash in my life).

the car itself is straight as an arrow though.

my sway bar bushing are basicaly gone. i heard this can cause the wheel to vibrate (odd?)

Well My car is in a gararage just north of the German Border and I have certainly took advantage of the German Highway and It's smooth tacked out. I got stock gears and I still had a few thousand to go in fifth but that's all it had. Not enough to stay with those big *** bmv's... I doubt it is from my rims. When I baught the car I trailered it and one guy really over loaded the crank which was connected to my sway bar. I'll spare you the details.. but I let it of considerable before we left. Were you reffering to the cornors of the front sway bar?

yes they are located on the ends

it can really be a multiple of things though which is my case (bad tires + old sway bar bushing's)

check out the suspension (sway bar, struts, tie rods). if ur car is like mine and is "original" most parts are worn out and need replacing.

not trying to brag or anything but i had my car up to 130mph today and i was surprised how sturdy it was.

i was even taking a turn and the car was just planted to the ground. my friend was in the car with me and he was surprised how well it handled at those speeds with stock suspension.

i had a little more to go and i have 3.27's with 4speed AOD.

i think i shut it down at about 4000rpms but honestly i wasnt looking.. whos looking at gauges when ur going that fast lol.

so ur sayin ur car wouldnt go anymore or u just shut it down?

i have 150k miles on my little old 302 and it pulls hard [8D]

if you really want to push 5th you need to redline 4th so that when it hits 5th your at the torque curve and once ur out of that curve the car isnt really going to go anymore heh

I'll defentally have a good look at the swarbar. No I shifted at 5,000 at fourth so I purhaps if I redlined it I would still have powerband in fifth. My speedo goes only to 85 so I'm not sure how fast I was going but I know the top speed stock is 145 and I got exhaust and a cold airintake..

2.73's standard for 5 speed

3.08 were optional for 5 speed but standard for auto's

3.27 was optional for auto's only

shift before the redline.

i didnt shift mine because i have auto but she ran out of 3rd at about 5300rpms and when it 4th i looked down at the speedo real quick and i was doin about 110-115 (in 3rd)

heres how you can figure out what gears u have
