Hey guys im Just wondering how i can find out what type of gears i have in my car. I want to put in new gears but i wanted to know which ones i already have. I already tried reading another post on it by marking the driveshaft and turning the tires but i dont think i did it right. did it matter than only one wheel was off the ground. i got 1.5 driveshaft revolutions to one tire revolution. And for example would 3.73 gears mean 3.73 driveshaft revolutions to one tire or? any help would be great thanks guys.

Both wheels off the ground. Count the revolutions of the d/s to 1 revolution of the tire. 3.5 to 1=3.55's, 3.0 to 1=3.08's. Get the picture?

Ohh and also i was wondering what are stock gears for an 88 GT.

is the car a stick or auto, a stick shift will have 2.73's while an auto will have either 3.08's or possibly 3.27's depending on options
