Hey the first thing i was wondering was how many amps does a stock 88gt alternator put out? And also for any of you who know about audio systems do you think i will need a new alternator if im running a 4 channel amp to my internals and a PG 1200.1 Amp to my 2 12" 500RMS watts Rockford subs? If so how many amps should the new alternator supply.

i think it puts out 95 amps. i ran 1 amp 1200 amps with stock alt. had no problem exept for underive pulley. i had to put stock pulley back on.

I think the factory alt is 65-75 amps max.I dont know if anybodys fox was like mine but my voltage sucked when the car came out of the factory.You shouldnt have any problems but i would suggest getting atleast good battery"odyssey,stinger,svr... ect".but its always better to have a upgraded alt.You can get a 200 amp alt for about $500 and yes its alot of $ but its worth it..
