I've heard that the B303 cam works really good with 1.7 roller rockers, but i dont know from experience thats just what some people have said. Hope that helps.

The stock cam is actually decent... But if you change it, it's really a matter of what powerband you want. The F303 is a little hot,and the E303 could use more duration, so I'd say either a B303 (224*/.480"), or a Trick Flow (221*/225*int; .499"/.510"exh). Both street-friendly and torquey.

My $.02... Good luck!

The B303 with 1.72:1 rockers actually yeilds more lift than the E303, putting it right between the E and X cams. Good if you want a higher powerband, methinks.

i just put a f cam with my 1.6 rockers and i hhave a hopped up engine and it is perfect for the street. it has a fair idle and lots of power. i had a e cam in there before and i definatly like the f cam better.

Hi 89,

The intake you picked is quite large for your combo, you'll be better off with a smaller one like the TFS heat or street. The e-f cams are not that big but do watch out for piston to valveclearances on the stock short block pistonswith the f cam, always check!!!!! Nothing is too big for the street it's just your point of view in a few years you'll be wanting more, tubed chassis, 408 stroker blown, etc.

It's better to have a combo that works well than a poorly working mix match of expensive parts. Such as a big *** intake on a mild engine combo.

Cheers, Shane
