Edlebrock Performer RPM heads
Crane Energizer roller rockers (1.6)
ARP head bolts
Trick Flow gasket set
E303 cam
Fel Pro timing cover gasket
Fel Pro oil pan gasket.
All from Summit Racing. With tax just a couple bucks shy of 1700. Is that everything I would need for a cam/head swap?

Intake runner volume is 170cc exhaust is 60cc. valve size is 2.020 and 1.600. Can I run that combo on the stock injectors/manifold/Tb/MAF/etc?

What if I stick with the stock intake?

you won't make as much horsepower, and you could prolly get away with 19lb injectors.
but do upgrade you mass air. it is a restrictin even on a stock motor.

2200$ could get you the trickflow top end kit. Comes with cam, intake, TW heads, 1.6 RRs, timing sprockets and chain, valve covers, pushrods, gaskets, bolts. That would be wise to look into, and if youre worried about not feeling the power, well, you better have it pointed in the direction you wanna go when you first get it. You would need supporting mods though, bigger fuel pump, 24#ers, TB and MAF. thats what i plan on doing. i only have 1300$ saved up right now though [:@]

So, I have a new understanding now. 1500 wont get me nowhere, right? I can get heads, but they wont make $1500 dollars worth a differance without supporting upgrades, correct? So, save up 3 grandish and work from there. Ouch.

RE: HP paranoia
No. You can do incremental changes now as long as you keep the "big picture" in mind. First: you need to set a goal. What do you want? You want to rip 13's or 12's or 11's in the quartermile? Or, do you just want something "snappy" on the street with no driveability issues to deal with? Does it need to pass emissions? Can you live with the car driving daily with a sloppy suspension on the street so you can run quicker et's at the track with less horsepower? Generic questions with no information get you generic & blanket statements that might not pertain to what you are really wanting to know..... Once you've decided the parameters; post all the details. The wonderful people of this site have more than enough experience to easily advise you based on thier personal experiences & methods of getting there.....
