Primetime? Or not?
 

Alright, my cars paint is pretty knicked and scratched up and im wondering if i should just go ahead and prime my car because it sits outside and it rains here about every afternoon for maybe 10mins or so. One of those afternoon shower things. But i have little rust spots here and there. So, should i prime it or not? Cause our garage is reserved for the 67 Camaro and the Dodge Demon and my dad isnt going to let that change.

I would suggest (like everyone else will) DON'T PRIME IT and let it set. The rain will not be your friend for sure with just primer. I'd say wait till you got all the materials and time, then prime/paint it in one shot if your going to do it yourself so you don't need to prime it twice. If you just wanna do the body work, and take it to a shop to be painted, then buy a cheap car cover and do what you need to do then get it painted. Then you'll be able to protect it from the weather a bit AFTER you got your fresh paint on it.

See im already tied up money wise in a stroker kit and a S/C soooo. I already had a cover. It made the car get moldy. I already have some primer. i dont mind priming it twice, it doesnt bother me. Its just the money that keeps me from gettng it re-painted. I was going to put 4 or mybe 5 coats of epoxy primer to keep the rust from spreading until i get the money to get it painted.
