Engine rebuild??
How long should it take an average joe like me to rebuild my engine?? Its my only mode of transportation right now and Id kinda like to get er back on the road as soon as possible. As for my expierience Ive rebuilt a delsol(blew up, not my fault) and a cbr600f2, and Ive recently done various other crap in school (mmi) that may be helpful.

uh well its going to be a while honestly. Also depends on if you are getting your blck machined and checked cause they may take a while. Without that it may take a couple days as long as you have all the tools you need.

if you have everything you need... tools, parts, gaskets, and you arent machining the block...you should figure, 1 day to pull and parital disassemble. 1 day to finish disassemble and clean parts. 1 day to start build. and 1 more day to finish the build. and a final day to reinstall. so if you have all the parts, and the time. i'd say a week. but thats if everything goes smooth and you dont screw off like i do

Actually, Ive been thinking of replacing the block altogether.....Ive been dreaming of a sort of forced induction. But boost is gonna have to wait, right now I just want to freshen her up a bit, itll be nice to have her running like new.

you could always buy a stock short block to drop in. they're like 1300 bucks. pretty affordable.
that would also cut down on the build time quite a bit.all you would have to do is bolt stuff on compared to assembling everything to check clearences and **** on bearings and what not. i cant think of what the little blue stuff is called now, but you use it when you put in new crank and rod bearings, or a new rod and crank for that matter. thats pretty time consuming.
