Why not? All you need really (if you're going carb) is perhaps a bigger hood, cowl for instance. Motor mounts bolt up and you need a little wider H or X pipe.

i am planning on doing the swap too, but I am gonna try to do EFI... I have read up on it and you can use alot of stuff off the 5.0l on the 5.8...so why not? there is no replacement for displacement

You need a new hood, a cowl, because it does not fit under the stock hood. And if you already have a good paint job....you dont want to get a new hood and get it color match and that can come out like crap. So I'd rather mod my 5.0 instead of the 5.8

If you don't feel comfortable doing paint yourself then take it somewhere, they can match what you have for the new hood without a problem.
