"stallion" from precision industries.

DO NOT GO LOWER THAN 3000 !!!!!!

you will kick yourself if you do...trust me no matter what anyone says.

i had a tci 2200 in my older car , w/ 3.73's and the motorsport low gearset for the tranny it still bogged if i wasn't by myself.

I could not agree more, with a lockup converter there is no real reason to go lower.

ok sorry to bump this up but how do you measure what size torque convertor you need for the flexplate? I've got a 3000 stall already just need the correct flexplate to fit it. Do you measure from bolt to bolt or what?

go with at least 3000 and whoever you use it needs to be a custom for your car weight rear ratio and horsepower if not you may end up with more or less stall than you want
i have used ptc out of alabama back when i was young and had great results
