Default New Fuel Pump...

Is there any reason I shouldn't just get a 255lph fuel pump?

thats the point exactly... how much fuel do you need? The stock pump will go a very long way...

replacing parts until you "find" the problem is not the way to go... and why would you NOT loose fuel pressure when you turn you car off????

wait a min... let me get this straight... when you turn the car off you lose fuel pressure? I hate to tell you this but you should do what's called a fuel system test which tests for fuel leakdown rates and relative fuel injector flow rates... you probably have a leaking injector... or you have a leaking fuel system... or that check valve isn't working...

FRP shouldn't drop to zero when you kill the motor... that's what the check valve is for. But 1-2 drops per injector is considered acceptable.

yea i dont think thats your fuel pump. sounds like a leak. pressure test is a good idea. but if youre going to do some modding to your motor (or have already) id just get the 255 instead of the 190.

pressure guage will only tell you if you lose pressure right away... you NEED to have a system test done with a WDS or IDS at your dealership... that will pinpoint your problem... unless you can lift your vehicle, jumper across the pump relay to have it constantly run and check for leaks external to the fuel rail.
