Why dont you just build a 4.6? When you learn you way around the engine, its much simpler to work on than a 5.0. Its more up-to-date. Hell i even have this strange little fantasy of dropping a 4.6 into my notch. There are alot more parts for them now than they're used to be.

building a 4.6 is expensive too. id rather have a 5.0 myself.

you think 4.6's are hard to work on... try a Ford Truck like the Expedition... with the 5.4L.
That motor is crammed so far back in the engine bay that the shop labor estimating guides give you almost 2 hours to do a tune up on it. its next to impossible to get out the #4 spark plug without removing a bunch of BS stuff and having 2 swivels on extensions
