I just put a 5.0 HO in my 88 that i got out of a 86 mustang and i fired it all up and when i try to start it...it cranks longer than it normaly should, it sits there for like 5 seconds and then it will fire. Is this a sensor problem? I already checked the timing and i cant firgure it out...can anyone help me out??

might have a fuel pump on the way out, try turning the key to the on position 2 or 3 times before you start it to build up fuel pressure. if it doesnt help, start checking timing and stuff. you do know an 86 5.0l isnt as good as an 87+ motor, right?

+1 on the fuel pump, but also check for leaks. You might be losing pressure for intial fire up. If you turn the key on run position, wait for the pump to turn off, then try it.
