Default injector size

Well I’m getting the motor all back together and I’m wondering if would stick to the stock injectors or bump up to some 24 lbsers

the motor has as follows:
stock 94 bottom end (zero miles)
88 speed density cam with 1.7 RR
ported gt40 heads
eddie performer intake (port matched and smoothed)
full exhaust

I’m looking into getting later MAF and tube but need to know what injectors I should go with before I do that.
Opinions?

Yeah the cam you got is not to agressive so you dont really have to worry about too much. Maybe when you get full bolt ons you may want to switch or just when you get a more agressive cam.

How about we scratch that from the record. For some reason I was thinking that bolt ons would really make a difference with what you got but it wouldnt. I was thinking TB MAF full exhaust and such. But it really wouldnt. The cam isnt agressive enough to have to worry about the injectors.

You should look into a 70mm MAF. That will brighten your day. Think of it now as your bottle neck.

^^^^ lol that's the point im trying to decided on injector size so i can pick up the MAF and elbow... i'll mostlikely go with 19 lbsers and get the 72 mm MAF <- that will save me some money for some gears.... btw crazy how do you like your king cobra clutch... i'm in the middle of a 5 speed swap and was looking into that clutch. does it feel nice like the stocker or is it real aggressive?

Its a good clutch, its kind of like stock not much difference at all between em. And now I see what you are getting at with the MAF. You can get the 24's if you know you are going to be changing the Cam later if not just stick with the 19's. Or you can always get a C&L Maf which you can recalibrate yourself for larger injectors down the line. You can get the whole kit which is the C&L MAF, trueflow inlet pipe with K&N filter and heat box on ebay for pretty cheap.
