If you're getting sprak and it's still cranking, then you're missing one key item, fuel.
I bet your fuel pump is getting hot and failing.
Even though the whole dieing when hot thing suggests a TFI problem, yet you're still getting spark...so who knows..

Listen I just had the same problem and it ended up being the TPS. It eventually got bad enough where it would start when it was cold but when I put it in drive it would immediately die. Do this next time it doesnt start unplug the TPS if it starts after that you need to adjust it.

Yea it would start after I unplugged the TPS???
Have you tried it yet? Dont spend any more money until you try this.

wellill try that after school tomorrow and see what happens.. but like i said i jsut replaced the fuel pump, and ican hear it click on and off wheni turn the key on.. i thought the fuel pump was weak, but i turned the key on and off like 10 times to get some more fuel but nope. and hwy would my fuel pump overheat?
