quad shocks control axle rotation under load and keep
axle from hopping under high toque.

you can take them off if:

1. upgrade lower and upper control arms, also get a panhard bar
to keep axle in place from side to side.

2. best way to replace the job of the quad shocks is to
switch to 3 link with Torque Arm and new lower control arms
then you can remove quad shocks and upper control arms.
car will handle MUCH better also.

if your going to do any kind of racing, you may want to get a set of adjustable uppers so you can set your pinion angle to properly work with the load of the rear end so you dont get u-joint bind. I am building my car to be streeted, so i just stayed with hard uppers and lower... non adjustable, but greasable

^^agree with every word. also if u take the quads off u wont notice much diff in wheel hop. and do not get traction bars/slap bars that hit the sub frames. are cars are not made for them.

^^Agree'd. Your going to need better control arms anyways, so go ahead and get them. Even boxed stock ones suck. Just arnt worth the trouble to box. I learned this the hard way.
