Default wiring questions

im in the middle of my mass air conversion and have a few wiring questions. first, the instructions say the red wire can be spliced into either pin 37 or 57, and the black wire to pin 40 or 60, which should it be? is it necessary to add the wire to the fuel pump monitor? and is it necessary to splice the wires on the vehicle speed sensor? i was under the impression thatthe only wires needed to be spliced wherethose on the 4 plug harness that comes in the kit.

Default RE: wiring questions

Either ones will do...red to 37 or 57 (12vdc ign on or VPWR) and black to 40 or 60 (ECM ground)....your choice...FYI compare the instructions you have with the ones at http://www.stangnet.com/tech/maf/massairconversion.html. Suggest to do the VSS and the FPM also, otherwise, you'll get the codes registered for both of those circuits. Also check the repositioning of the thermactor solenoid pins at the ECM connector, pin 51 to 38 and pin 11 to 32. It's not just the 4 wires for the MAF, the new MA ECM pins layout is different from the speed density ones. Hope this helps.
