Pistons

RE: Pistons
87-92 had forged from the factory, 93 and up had hyperutectic pistons.
there is nothing wrong with hyper-pistons, unless you are boosted more than 10 pounds, or anything over a 150 shot of nitrous.
sure forged pistons will give you peace of mind if you run a big power adder, but the hyper-pistons expand less making the piston-cylinder wall clearances smaller, allowing for less blowby.

RE: Pistons
I have some hyperutectic pistons in my 91 (rebuilt) and had no problem running a 125 shot.
just make sure your fuel system is up to par.
the stock pump is barely enough to support the stock horsepower levels.
an adjustable fuel pressure regulator is a must in my eyes for any dry nitrous kit.
