g2 if your doorlocks just dont work and you dont smell any wires burning, then just replace your doorlock actuators. 95% of the time thats what it is.

the joke is that there is smoke in the wires ... you dont want to let the smoke out..... lol what im trying to say is the fuse is blowing for a reason dont put a bigger one in .. I would start by looking inside where the door meets the body ... there should be a rubber boot with all the door wires in it.. make sure the wire insulation isnt rubbed through & letting bare wire touch something... if all looks well there tear the door panel off unplug the lock actuator & plug the fuse back in ... if it doesnt blow you may have found the short & just rplace the actuator motor like posted earlier.. if all that fails see if you can get a wiring diagram from a service manual & trace the circuit ... hope that helps somehow

Hey i work for a car sterio shop in houston and just wanted to let you know on your locks.... that if you are smelling a burning smell you either have a bad door lock motor or some wiring between the motor and the switch is grounding itself on the chassis of the vechicle.
Also a dla can be bought and installed at most car sterio shops for around 45-65

How can you tell if its the actuators? cause neither of my switches work. The locks are hard to press down but stay down. The 20amp circuit breaker next to the starter relay works, which the pwr locks seem to be hooked up to.
