Default drivers seat

i have an 86 5.0 GT. love the car, but of course, many bugs to work out, and much twaeking to do.
so the drivers seast is busted somewhere, feels like its from mashing the throttle peddle too hard all the time, lol, and shifting fast.
im sure you all know what im talking about.... anyways, anyone know what i have to do to fix it? its uncomfortable for a drive any longer than 30 or so minutes, id like to fix it
any help is appreciated, thanx!

If its not the seat back itself that's broken:

Odds are one of the two front seat mounting studs(part of the floorpan) are broken(common problem). You need to remove the seat & pull up the carpet to take a look. Make sure to have a welder handy to repair the stress fractures in the brace the stud is mounted too..... Or.... tear it down at a local muff shop & have them weld up the fractures. Be sure to disconnect the battery\MSD if you got it before anyone welds on the car.....

Ummmm..... Salt & rust have nothing to do with this "fractured floor around the stud" problem. I live in southern California where ther is no rust & I have yet to find a Mustang\Capri that does not have this problem(looking at friends cars & cars in the junkyard). I highly recommend you take a look IMHO.....
