Underdrive Pulleys, Yay or Nay?
Well a buddy of mine down the street that I just met has a set of used underdrive pulleys for sale. He took them off because he installed a supercharger and cant use them anymore. Hes selling them for 30 bucks and he thinks that they are MAC. But they'd have to be a good brand because he has a pretty sweet car. haha
What kind of gains will I see with these? My engine is fairly stock with cold air, and a throttle body done to it. 117k is the mileage... Post any info for me, Thanks

i say nay. i have then and i want them off. my a/c doesnt work verywell. and i need a stronger alt b/c it slows it down so much. personaly i didnt see any hp gain. i just sweat my ***** off now.i just say dont buy them unless you dont need a/c.

there is maybe a slight gain w/ them, but like mustang_cab said..it slows accesories down
which can make ur battery go down and die on the road..like mine did 2 months ago..
but that was the only time, i just bumped the idle up and havnt had a problem

get em.
what you'll want to do is get a different alternator. like a 75 amp alternator. get a smaller belt and dont route it around your smog pump. so then not only do you have smaller pulleys, but now you have less rotating mass with no smog pump.
