what you need is best bet.
If I'm not mistaken this is uni-body car too, so basically
part of you frame has rusted thru. You need to get this
fixed!!!!

Hahahahaha that's classic. Yah you can get new ones, they're like $100 per side + a million in labour... *looks for link*
LH (Drivers side) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1979-...spagenameZWDVW
That's the one you'll need.

RE: Floor pans
I just replaced both pans and the spare tire well! I bought my pans from Docs Mustang Parts. They are the original guage metal. The real expense like Liquid said is in the labor. Its a **** load of welding. Even just for one pan. Plus removing the old one. A friend of mine had the same problem on the driver side and went to the junk yard and sawed sawed one out. Then he cut out and grinded the rust and treated the flack out of it. Then he took the one from the junk yard and cut it to fit over the old pan. He put a bunch of this liquid insulation that resist moisture and riveted the **** out of it. That was about 2 years ago and he hasne had a problem with it.
