Does an X pipe sound better than an H pipe?

I like em both..... I run an H Pipe but if I ran my exhaust outta the rear Id prolly go with an X... Now performance wise I like how the X pipe dyno'd......

H-Pipe on a 5.0
X-Pipe is more for a 4.6L because it really is kind of scratchy. If you understand audio you will understand why.

I already have longtubes and flowmaster 2 chambers dumped before the rearend. I was just wondering which would give the best sound and performance.

Trust me an H-Pipe if you have a 5.0. The X will be sort of "scratchy". If you have a background in audio you should understand if not I won't bother explaining it.

I say O/R H if you have a 5.0.

the h pipe will be deaper sounding, and the x will be louder more high pitched like an import....but the x flows better and will give better gains

X pipes are not designed to work with cahmbered mufflers ie. flowmaster, mac. I read this in a test in 5.0 mag. I guess the H-pipe works on a scavenging effect were the X is more of a free flowing peice that works better with straight through mufflers, ie. magnaflow, dynomax, edlebrock, ect.
