Default GT40 Heads

Anything noteworthy about swapping GT40P heads? I think it may be in my near future, but just want to get any surprises out of the way before I drop some $$$ on them. Anything to look for in particular? any years better than others??

You'd get just as much power by porting your stock heads, and then you get to keep your headers, so if you decide to upgrade to alluminum in the future, you didn't waste money on a set of headers. My .02

You bidded on those without even knowing how many miles are on them? I would never bid on a used set of heads (heads that I haven't seen that is), they were taken off for a reason, let it be a blown up motor, or the heads are bitched, it all affects the heads, from oiling if the engine ran out of oil to cooling if they were over-heated. And those don't look too hot, looks like the mating surface has started to rust so you're for sure going to have to re-surface them :\ Just a warning before you bid anymore...

it has to do with the angle of the spark plug. New FRPP headers will work

the P heads are good if you get them cheap. If you have $1k, then get used AFR's or new/used TW's. Either will flow better and give you a lot more power than any GT40's.
