Hey I have a 1994 Mustang GT V8 5.0L
My friend has a 1997 Mustang Saleen S281

Both are 5-speeds, mine has a 5.0 and his has a 4.6

Would it be a close race? I'm almost positive he has just a regular S281, not supercharged, but he says its pushing 365 horsepower STOCK. I thought the only big difference was suspension between these cars, and the different 4.6/5.0 engine, but they produce almost identical numbers...any1 know more?

Find out if the Saleen has the 2-valve or 4-valve heads. If it's got 2-valves, they were dogs until 99. If it's got 4's....you lose.

even if its 2 valve he is still going to lose. he does not even have gears.

Im gonna race him in a couple months...when he gets his license!
I just figured I'd kill him since I'm probably a better driver, and I thought our engines pushed out almost identical hp/tq ratings...
I also have full exhaust, CAI, 3.73 gears, King Cobra Clutch, and a Short-Throw Shifter (Tri-Ax)

BTW dont race on the street you might kill somone or yourself.

If that kid is barely getting his liceince chances are he doesnt know how to race, and with a powerfull car like the Saleen hes going to have a hard time controling it, be careful

Doesnt it only have 215 hp and around 280 tq to the crank
