2:73 vs 3:73 top speed with minor mod's??
Other than Getting some headers, gears, some wide front pipes and stiffening her up a bit I don't see to many more mod's comming untill if ever I make the big bucks. Looking for the Top speed difference between these gears with the mod's I have.

You're actually probably faster with the 3.73s because you can get that engine more in its power band with those gears. I know before i got 4.10s (had 3.08s) i could only take her to about 130 before she really started feeling sluggish. Now it'll pull to about 150 which is top of 5th readlining. So it'll be faster in all aspects but it'll sure rev higher. Expect about 2500 cruising on the highway.

Yeah. that sounds quite convincing. I live just north of The German border in Denmark. I am from MA and will be in the States soon. Anyway I baught my car in German and have had some run's on the notorious Autobahn! Anyway I shifted at 5 in fourth and I lost the powerband approximately a few thousand to earily. Top speed is only problems in USA. Just got a bit nervous about getting the gears.

5.0's aren't known for there top speed... remember that. but if your feeling nervous then why dont you get 3.55s.

i do 55 and mines at almost 2grand. 2250 at 65. its not bad at all really. i dont even notice any changed in gas mileage. id go 3:73 definetly. they really wake a car up. i had 3:55, you wont like them as good.

dang on right bro! youll be fine on the interstae and highway. i cant say that for 4:10 though. but 80mph and mines only at 2600 rpm.

sounds good. what kind of 5.0 you got? Can't tell if it is a GT or a cobra.
