cam guy said i needed one cause 6800k is my peak.but dyno says it drops at 6k?

I an not sure about your combo I know you where not happy with the numbers (at first) that you are making or you think you should make more power. What intake are you running I don't remember. why Jay says to get a tuner, maybe Jay feels there is more left in it if you could move the curve on the timing and fuel. I don't know with out talking to him did you degree the cam when you put it in? have you talked to Jay about advancing it or retarding it. run the car see how it does don't worry about the dyno ***** crap right now. we dont race dynos

it's a rpm intake...they are good up to 6500?right?
the cam is designed for my shift points to be at 6500k peak 6800k
jay thinks my tuner was anticapating my car to shut down
it's at 18*...tuner never tried to bump anymore out of it....
so if it wasn't degreed right persay what/how much could i have lost?....
i peaked at 308hp had 300+ from 3800 to 5900k
i peaked tq at 332 had 315+ from 2800 to 5600k....my a/f was very lean too which i didn't like...so turned it back where i had it....he had it at 36psi i put it back at 42psi....i really think he tried to blow my motor up.

I don't think I would let him touch your car again.also if the cam was off it may make 20hp or so diff.but it will let you move the HP and TQ numbers up or down in the rpm scale usually. did you turn the fuel press. up while it was on the dyno? its very tough to say as all cars are different. have you tried a bigger mass air or T/B that you could get on loan from a friend or even a intake maybe the Holley. I know this don't answer your questions but trial and error is all I can say and more dyno time if you can with a competent tuner.

he(jay matched his cam to my setup......this is what i don't understand....in 2004 i made 305/325 with .512/.512 224/230 112 cam
now i make 308/332 with a .550/.533 229/239 at 112 cam plus new springs/machine work/relapping of valves.
this guy will not let me or anybody else touch the car...cause he's tuning it.....timing/fuel is alot of work....sarcasm...
i'll tell you this...you can watch the clip this car freak'n accelerates!...

when I ran cam to cam on a desk top dyno jays cam made around 30 HP more then your old cam at the most just running a comparison. if the car was that lean it could very well rob you of some HP.you said the timing was at 18 I assume that is base where is it at at 3000 rpm is it advancing like it should I would shoot for 32 to 36 degrees you could change all of this with a programmer without even getting dirty. the valves aren't to tight are they letting cly. pressure off. just shooting in the dark

Not me but ill put my neighbors ride up. 1993 Mustang LX 572rwhp over 600rwtq. stock computer with a great tune. if you want specs let me know. i know most of the car.
