Default Where are the NEGATIVES???

Ok i am having some real issues with my car.... FORD wiring SUX *****!!!! I bought a new stereo and my car is a mess, When I went to pull out my old stereo there are only 1 wire per speaker, not 2 as usual. My bro was saying that they may be grounded somewhere else or all the wires from all the speakers may all be grounded in 1 place.... I dunno but i hooked my new stereo to the existing 1 wire per speaker and i get sound its just SUPER quiet and static. I dont know if any of you have swapped out your stereos in the fox bodies but i am wondering if theres any easy way to do this or if I am gonna have to tear all the panels off and rewire a negative for every speaker to the new stereo??? PLZ HELP if you can THX!!!!!!!!

Get the proper jumper wiring harness and don't cut any wires, just follow the directions. I did mine and it works good and it only cost like 20 bucks

There's two wires. It's impossible to run a speaker without two. And one of my mustangs has an aftermarket stereo in it

there is not 2 going into the original stereo. I know there is 2 coming off the speaker but i dont know where they go. And it works with the 1 wire hooked to the aftermarket stereo therefore i know the negative must be grounded somewhere else, I just dont wanna have to rip everytthing apart to find them...[&o]

I changed out my radio after it got stolen, had nothing but a ripped out
mess of loose wires to work with.

there are 2 wires pos and neg behind radio going to speakers,

you just have to find them.

tip for finding matching speaker wires:
use small battery and touch wires to either end
you will get a small pop from speaker when you find the right ones.

alot of the wires back there are color coded the same but go to different
things, took me a while but i found all 6 speakers pos and neg wire eventually.

go online and do a search for the color codes also.
the listed codes are right you just have to figure which of the 4 same color wires
is the one you're supposed to be trying.

You can get it at any car stereo store, that is what they use. Just tell them you need a wiring harness for a stereo in a ford or have it installed.

it just sounds crappy, so i dont know why it would sound fine with 1 wire to the original stereo but crappy with the same wire to an aftermarket stereo...

Fords have a screwy wiring set up, get the adaptor plug. It plugs into you factory plugs, then you splice it into you stereo plug. It will be labled on what wire is what...easy and fast...only way to go anytime, anycar. The best part about it is then you can pull it out and plug it into any other mustang and some other ford without doing anything else.
