Clunking when braking

RE: Clunking when braking
yeah suspension noises are hard enough to chase when you actually have the car. do you ever hear it at any other time other than braking? turning at all? at any speed? or just braking?

RE: Clunking when braking
I only turn left when going onto the driveway. I do brake while entering, because the driveway is about 1" to 1.5" higher than our road. I do believe its a bushing (probably the strut tower). The ball joints are tough, we checked them tonight.
I am thinking about taking out the entire left side and putting in new bushings and lubing everything up. That SHOULD take care of the noise.
Thanks for the responses, there were so many I felt like I was asking an (X vs. H pipe question)!
