Hello,

I have an 88 LX 5.0 Notchback. I was wondering what the car might look like without that big *** bodyguard that goes around the car. Has anyone seen this body mod and if so are there pictures available?

Good luck! Under that "body guard" is a factory "double rib" that is only a little bit less obvious than the trim installed over it. I've seen drag cars without the trim & they look "okay" with new paint & no trim. But, in my humble opinion; it does not look too good. Soooooo..... you would then be left with some serious sheetmetal surgery to elimate both the factory trim & the "double rib". You better have a body shop, some pretty good body work\welding skills, patience & persistance, & want to be different for it to really happen.....
