Default Steeda firewall cable adjuster question

just put in the steeda cable, firewall adj, and quadrant. when adjusting the adjuster, do you have to screw the adjuster in or out to get the clutch to catch closer to the floor? i would think out, as the clutch will wear and its almost all the way in now. but it seems that it catches higher the more i turn it out (counter clockwise) is this normal>???

Default RE: Steeda firewall cable adjuster question

yea, i asked the dude and it's the oppisite that you would think. clockwise adjusting will make the clutch catch closer to the floor, while counter clockwise will catch higher. has anyone had the clutch cable pop when pushing the clutch in? Sometimes when its adjusted catching close to the floor there is a chirp chirp sound coming from under the car. my mechanic says its because the adjustable cable and the firewall adjuster are competing and a stock cable will remedy both problems... any comments?
