Default Anybody own a TCI Saturday Night Special for AOD

Hello all

Been thinking of beefing up the AOD a bit when i get it all put in... thinking a TCI Saturday Night Special Tourque Conv, Tranny Cooler, and B&M shift kit... I want it daily driven with the overdrive, so valvebodies etc are out of the question... I was just asking if the TCI is a decent t/c since so many people are downing the B&M Tork Master 2000... Thanks

I would go with a TransGo shift kit (not sure of the differences but I hear nothing but good things about them) and also I would look at Performance Automatic TC's. I dont know too many people who run the SNP.

What are they sayin about the TM 2000? I have one new in the box, haven't used it yet.
Stock replacement converters have been fine for my general needs. I have a 10" GER unit that I like. But when it was new I had to have it cut open and have the excess weld slag chunks removed. It made a lot of noise with that stuff bouncing around inside!

I've read that its not worth it, but for me the TM2000 seems fine, but i havent used it. I'm installing my tranny and wanted a new converter in, no sense in reusing the stock one while i've got it down...

my dad had a TCI Saturday Night Special in his 66 chevelle, and loved it. I also had a TCI convertor in an 86 Regal, and i thought it was great. Unfourtunatly, that was the last auto I owned, and our chevelle is undergoing body work. But I am a fan of TCI products, so I say get it, you'll be happy with it
