Question about alternator/ac swap.

Question about alternator/ac swap.
Ok the title is probably pretty confusing but I'm looking to delete my a/c system (hasn't worked for like 1 and a half) and I have seen some pics of peoples cars that have the alternator where the a/c compressor was, in order to keep the belt routed the correct way. I currently have the smog off and the p/s off and the a/c is the next to go. I know that UPR sells an idler pulley but I kinda wanna make my car have the least amount of pullies as I can. Does anyone know a company that makes a kit or bracket or anything that will allow me to put the alt over on the a/c space? Any help would be appreciated. Thanx.

RE: Question about alternator/ac swap.
i know what you're talking about, but i dont know who makes it. you could always put on an electric fan, leave the alternator where its at, and run it off the crank with a small belt routed around the water pump and crank

RE: Question about alternator/ac swap.
im just going to delete my ac and run the belt straight under it, since itll run like that too. thats how it runs on the mustangs without ac's. only question i have is how much hp will i gain from deleting the ac?

not when the a/c isn't on.
with the a/c is off the belt is basically running over a well-bearinged idler pulley.
