Default very,very strange problem

I bought a 94 vert 5.0 a while back, checked the oil every week before starting it and it was always fine, changed the oil yesturday and only a quart maybe came out, changed filter 4 quarts oil and ran it for 20 minutes, the stick says it's way over full. Just drained it again and about three quarts came out but with the plug in my hand the stick reads full. I was thinking maybe a blockage so I probed in the drain hole with a clear brazing rod and it's clear. I was thinking maybe they had the wrong dip stick in it but if the plug is out it still would'nt show any oil. Anybody got any ideas

a 5.0 has two drain plugs. you probably only pulled the front one right?

did you remove both drain plugs? there are two of them. one in the back of the pan and the other one is in the front. right behind the sway-bar. that is if you have a double-hump oil pan
