Woodruff Key
 

The key seems to be 'stuck' in the slot. I've tried to tap it from the front and back to work it out -- no movement. I've also gotten a vice-grip on the back and to try and pull it up with no success. The front edge is clearly worn so it needs to come out.

take a small punch, sitck it on the end of the key and smack it. some times they comd out hard.

Tried that too ..... smacked it pretty hard ... no movement.

take your hammer, and smack the top the key on the very very end of it. it might pop the other side up.
