Default AC/Heat control delete

Hey all,

I recently removed the A/C and bypassed the heater a while ago (becuase I was to lazy to replace the heater core). Is there a special way to remove the controls other than just cutting the cables. Also, does anyone know if they make a delete panel for the controls? I have looked everywhere for the delete but have had no luck.

Thanks

I dont have an answer for ya, but one question. Where do you live that you dont need a/c or a heater. I am very jealous, coming from someone who lives in New England where we could need the heat and the a/c within 3 hours of each other lol.

Phoenx Arizona. Yes, it is hot as hell in the summer, but this is not a daily driver and when the heater core went, I figured I hadn't used the heater in about 3 years. It gets down do a nippy 75 here in the winter. I have a friend from Boston, I have heard about the New England winters.

To Draco, I don't know of any kits BUT it would be relatively easy to get a piece of ABS Plastic and trim in to fit that area and maybe fiberglass it into place. Also for a nice trick look to it you could put a gauge or two there. Just a thought for ya.

To Ttop, I live in Florida and it's hot as hell all the time and I'm taking my A/C out and for the time being it's a DD. That's what windows are for. [sm=lol.gif]

[sm=smiley20.gif] I guess I shoulda asked, is it a Fox or an Sn-95. Because on the Fox the piece that is kinda oval shaped hole that goes around the **** is it's own piece. Once you take all the ***** and the control board out you can just Glue or fiberglass like I said the piece of plastic to the back and then just see if you want gauges there. Then if you do just make your holes and go.

Hope everything works out for ya. Good Luck.

I'm from Minnesota and live in Texas, two of the extremes of hot and cold and I don't have either, but it's mainly a track car, or will be.

dude if you wanna cut all that **** out you should atleast pull your dash and take out all the HVAC stuff, but then you'll have 3 large holes in your firewall to patch up like i still do, gonna do that this weekend. I just left my HVAC controls in, it makes the car look my peaceful and homie I guess, If I wanted the straight racecar look I'd just put aluminum in its place, but that just looks cold, then again i dont have heat so in the winter it would be..haha!
