I did mine on both vehicles it cleans the engine bay up amazingly. I had no problems finding a belt used a 68 inch Poly Cog belt bypassed the orriginal location all together, moved the powersteering up to the ac slot, and everhting went amazing no idles issues and I am running speed density on the 5 speed as well.

Yeah but how the hell do you pass a smog test like that lol??
I need to clean up my crowded-*** engine bay, but I'm in California and it's basically illegal to think about touching the hood-release latch.

i passed emissions fine with no smog pump...dont know how New Jersey is really hard on smog but not as bad as cali is. usually cars dont pass here for having a cat back but i still passed. i kept the emissions sheet because everyone thought i paid to have my car pass.

i mean the stock h pipe. there is a tube going into it, where the line from the pump plugs in.

my car didnt come with an h pipe..do u know where else it might be? it only has the one in the heads wich is already plugged.

you dont need a delete kit. take off the pump. use 3/4" vacuum caps to plug the h pipe and the fitting that goes to the heads. buy a 84.5" belt. your done.

haha looks like you all have been talking. for emissions you dont need it. it does not really do anything. if you have a good tune and cats than it should pass no problem.

Alright, well I have a question then. My car runs very strong, doesn't really even burn oil or anything.
When I took the emissions test last year, I passed by like 3 points in 2 different tests. My timing was advanced, plus I had a chip in that advanced it more and kind of screwed with my timing, fuel ratio, etc (b/c of some upgrades I did). I took the chip out and the car is running MUCH better now. Is there any way to test the car legally w/o the smog pump or any advice on how to improve my emissions for a smog test? I just put new wires in about 5k or 6k miles ago at the most, and splitfire platinums.

But can you pass a smog test w/ur car backfiring? As long as it just stays under emissions levels it's fine right?
