Tim, those are mechanical? Aren't mechanical gauges supposed to go outside in those little stainless steel cups. How did you get them inside without crimping the tubing?

only mechanical ones...
for the oil gauge I use copper tubing instead of the plastic tube

I have mechanical oil and coolant gauges. I run them through the firewall where the speedo goes through. I run plastic oil pressure line and haven't had any problems. Tims88GT has copper and it rattles as hes going down the road.

So it's not that hard to fish the tubing through the firewall? I was always under the impression that it was a bitch. I know for a boost gauge you have too but I know a lot of people that took them forever to get the boost gauge tubing to go through right without crimping. How did and where did you get through the firewall?

well one day when the plastic oil line gets brittle of comes in contract with heat you'll have a nice engine fire or some oil soaked carpet....there should be no rattle using copper tubing if done right using a gromment
