that shouldnt be too high i dont think. it should creat a syphon when it first starts pulling gas so it will flow all the time the pump just puts added power to it.

Is the filter mounted horizontal or vertical? If it's horizontal an air pocket probably. I would really check voltage at the pump. There can be voltage drops in the wire, the relay, and the ground in the rear. Did you use ETL's (external tooth lockwashers) on your body ground and feeds? Terminals will oxidize, it's invisible, so even if their clean looking the connection may still be bad.

Check the above link. I use it on all my connections. Main ingredient is petroleum oil which prevents oxidization. Or you can use plain old oil on your connections. ETL's help alot, most OEM's use them where the grounds connect to the body, motor, etc.

i've measured 1 1/2 volts drops at ground points to the body. Wire brushed them, slapped this stuff on, and 0 volt drops. It's also good to slime it on wires prior to crimping them to a connector, which is what it was originaly formulated for. I'm not sellin the stuff, just throwin out info.

Just a update, I fixed the fuel pressure problem. I lowered the pump about 4" and I have steady 6+ PSI, at WOT I have 4-5+.
Thanks to all for the help/suggestions.
BTW, the car is for sale.
